evaporated milk

Macintosh Apples
- preheat
oven to 350
- peel
and cube apples into nickel or dime sized cubes. (separate
into 5 piles made from 2 apples
each)
- melt
butter
- mix
flour, salt, egg, and melted butter approx 60 seconds
- add
water, mix until dough is evenly mixed and pulls from the side of the
bowl (add extra flour if needed)

separate dough into 5 even sized balls
- (flour
table or rolling surface as needed)
- roll
first ball of dough until very thin into long rectangle approx 9 inches
wide
- pile
cubes from 2 apples at bottom of dough rectangle
- pour a
heaping 1/3 cup of sugar over the apples

wrapping dough around apples from the bottom up, roll the apples and
dough to
make a 2-3 inch wide dough log filled with apples

fold/pinch the sides of the log shut with the excess dough (no apples
should be
able to fall out)
- place
roll end to end along the 9 inch side of the pan, seam side down
- repeat
for other four balls of dough
- pour
evaporated milk liberally over the meidusha rolls
- bake 45
min - 1 hour until golden brown
